When you first register and start posting, you are not automatically notified of replies to your topic. You must do one of these steps to be automatically notified. Note that you must be a registered user and logged in to follow these steps.

Set notification each time you post a topic
  • Begin a topic by clicking New Topic in the desired board. (Or modify a topic.)
  • Before clicking Post, open Additional Options to set topic-level automatic notification.
  • Click the Notify me of Replies check box.
  • Click Post.

Change your automatic notification settings in your profile
  • You can set up your profile so you don't have to follow the step above each time.
     - Click Profile in the top menubar.
     - Click Notifcations and Email on the left.
     - Ensure that the Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic and When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.) checkboxes are checked.
     - Ensure that Replies and Moderation is selected from the For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me of: drop-down box.
     - Click Save Settings.
Hint: See the profile-replies.jpg graphic below as a guide for these settings.
  • Note that changing these profile settings only affects new topics and does not set automatic notification for topics you have already posted. You must follow the steps in the first set of instructions above for automatic notification in those topics.

Receive notification each time someone posts in a specified board
  • Open a board and click Notify at the top to be notified of all posts in that board.

You can turn off automatic notification at any time by unchecking the checkboxes, changing your profile settings, or clicking Notify on the specified board again.

If you have questions about these particular steps, reply to this topic. If you have questions about other functions, please reply to the that topic or start a new topic, if appropriate. More information on using the Forum is also available in the online help by clicking Help in the top menubar.
