Baseball's No. 1 source for information is coming to a city near you. On March 26, 2008, the Amateur Baseball Report was launched for baseball enthusiasts across the country. Covering all the bases of USSSA baseball, the ABR will finally fill the void of youth baseball coverage.
The Amateur Baseball Report is a youth-driven, state-specific baseball magazine that will cover USSSA teams, players, and coaches. The ABR will offer instructional/educational pieces for coaches and parents, rank teams and players, and provide player journals and Q & A's for all involved. In addition, the ABR will cover all USSSA tournaments, showcases, and leagues.
The ABR is the first comprehensive baseball magazine to feature player rankings. We have set a nationwide search to discover the best USSSA has to offer. Our team of professionals (pro scouts, college coaches, and former pro players) will be coming to your town to evaluate all interested players ages 12-15.
The ID camps will be run with a combine format. Each player will be tested on the five tools (Arm Strength, Fielding, Hitting, Power, and Running). Our staff will grade out each player under the same criteria, and overall grades will determine their ranking in the state.

"The Amateur Baseball Report is the next step in the evolution of USSSA Baseball. USSSA Baseball has always strived to bring innovative and fresh approaches to youth baseball. The ABR will enhance the players' and parents' experience with USSSA; along with providing much needed education about the game we all love."
